Hi, I'm Gabrielle
I’m a web designer and SEO specialist based in Tauranga, working with businesses across the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand and internationally.
From the first conversation through to your website going live (and beyond), I handle the design, the strategy, and the SEO personally. Nothing gets handed off to a rotating account team – one point of contact so nothing falls through the crack.
I started Banter Web Design because I was tired of seeing businesses treated like just another box to tick. Too many agencies hand you off to whoever’s free that week, or do little to no on-page SEO so clients end up with a beautfiful website but it doesn’t appear in search results.
I wanted to do it differently: get to know your business properly, build your website and your SEO together from day one, and stick around afterwards instead of disappearing once the invoice is paid.
“Sticking to your knitting” matters just as much for a small business as it does for a big one. If you want your business to grow, investing in someone who genuinely understands both web design and SEO, not just one or the other, is a good place to start.
With over 15 years of combined marketing and web design experience, I’ve worked with everyone from local tradespeople and professional services businesses to well-known NZ brands. That range means I understand what actually matters at every size of business, not just what looks impressive in a portfolio.
I know terms like SEO, hosting, and keyword research can feel overwhelming if it’s not your world. Part of my job is taking that confusion away, explaining things in plain English, and making the process feel manageable rather than stressful.
