How much does a website cost?
Every project is quoted around what you actually need, so the best next step is a quick chat rather than a generic number. Get in touch and we can talk through what’s right for your business.
Do I need SEO if I already get most of my work through referrals?
Referrals are great, but they only reach people who already know someone who knows you. SEO means people who don’t know you yet can still find you when they search. Most Banter clients start with strong referral business and add SEO to reach further.
How long does it take to build a website?
It depends on the size of the project and how quickly we can get content and feedback back and forth, but most projects move at a genuinely manageable pace. We’ll give you a realistic timeline once we understand your scope but a safe guideline is between 3-6 weeks.
What does SEO actually involve?
In plain terms, it means making sure Google understands what your business does and who it’s for, so it can show your website to the right people. It’s built into every Banter website from day one, not added on afterwards. You can learn more about my SEO services here
I'm not confident with technical or "techy" things. Will I need to be?
No. I endeavour to explain everything in plain English and handle the technical side directly, so you don’t need to become a web expert to get a website that works for you.
Are there ongoing costs with a website?
Yes, there are two unavoidable costs involved in running a website: your domain name and website hosting. Your domain name is your website’s online address (for example, banterdesign.nz), while hosting is the server space where your website’s files are stored. This allows your website to be accessed and served to visitors whenever they land on your site.
You’re welcome to manage your domain and hosting yourself, or I can take care of both for you. They’re included as part of my ongoing support and maintenance packages, so you can leave the technical side to me and have one less thing to worry about.
Do you work with businesses outside Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty?
Yes. While Banter is based in Tauranga, clients are supported nationwide and even internationally.
